Painting by Jonathan Thunder
30" x 48". Acrylic on canvas
Artist statement: "This ghost comes to the viewer with a message. Ghosts have a tendency to scare away those they visit before they can reveal their reason for visiting. So he wears the mask of a horse. His people are the horse people. So this is the covering that represents who he is and makes him visible to the other world. The dripping s common in several of my paintings, usually signifying a deity or spirit materializing."
